RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPROVING
"LIVE OAK WAY" AS THE STREET NAME FOR THE INTERNAL PRIVATE STREET
WITHIN THE ACADEMY HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION (P06-001)
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2006 Academy Heights Developers LLC submitted an
application requesting that the name for the internal street within the Academy Heights
subdivision be "Live Oak Way"; and
WHEREAS, consistent with the requirements of Section 15.06.060 Street Names of the
San Rafael Municipal Code, the Community Development, Fire, Police and Public Works
Departments and the U.S. Postal Service reviewed the proposed change and it was determined
that "Live Oak Way" is an acceptable new street name; and
WHEREAS, the subject street does not currently serve any developed home sites, and all
properties served by the street are currently owned by the applicant; and
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2006, the City Council considered the proposed street name
accepting all public comment and the written report of the Department of Community
Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael does hereby approve the "Live Oak Way" as the name for the internal street within the
Academy Heights subdivision, subject to the following condition of approval:
1. Academy Heights Developers LLC shall be responsible for the cost of a new street sign(s)
and shall coordinate with the Public Works Department on the installation of the new street
sign(s).
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of San Rafael, held on Monday, the 15fl' day of May 2006, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
