PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF 11PPREEIRTION
TO
ERIC ANDERSON
WHEREAS, Eric Anderson is a resident of the Bret Harte neighborhood, and a leader in
the Marin County Bicycle Coalition; and
WHEREAS, in September, 2005, Eric was appointed by the San Rafael City Council to
the Canal Stakeholder Committee, which was charged with preparing a
recommended Transportation Plan for the Canal neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Eric served as a representative of the many Canal residents who ride their
bicycle to work and school, sharing his knowledge of bicycle transportation
issues in the Canal; and
WHEREAS, in addition to attending the Stakeholder Committee meetings, Eric assisted
with preparation and staffing at the Open House events sponsored by the
Stakeholder Committee; and
WHEREAS, Eric dedicated a year to a community-based planning effort to working with
Canal residents and business leaders to identify transportation concerns and
recommended improvements that will improve the quality of life in the
Canal neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Eric Anderson for his substantial contributions to prepare
the Canal Transportation Plan.
