RESOLUTION NO. 12043
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
SRA. ENEDINA MENDIETA
WHEREAS, Sra. Enedina Mendieta has been active in San Rafael as a 15 -year resident of
the Canal neighborhood, as a transit commuter, and as a member of the
Transportation Subcommittee of the Marin Tenants Union; and
WHEREAS, in September, 2005, Enedina was appointed by the San Rafael City Council
to the Canal Stakeholder Committee, which was charged with preparing a
recommended Transportation Plan for the Canal neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Enedina served as a representative of the residents and bus commuters in the
Canal neighborhood, sharing her knowledge of the issues of people who
walk in the neighborhood, and who commute by bus to their jobs; and
WHEREAS, Enedina dedicated a year to a community-based planning effort to working
with Canal residents and business leaders to identify transportation concerns
and recommended improvements that will improve the quality of life in the
Canal neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sra. Enedina Mendieta for her substantial contributions to
prepare the Canal Transportation Plan.
