PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS,
TO
FERNANDO QUEZADA
Fernando Quezada has been active in San Rafael, having lived previously for
years in the Canal neighborhood and currently as a business owner of the
Quezada Market on Alto Street; and
in September, 2005, Fernando was appointed by the San Rafael City Council
to the Canal Stakeholder Committee, which was charged with preparing a
recommended Transportation Plan for the Canal neighborhood; and
Fernando served as a representative of the business owners in the Canal, and
of property owners in the neighborhood; and
in addition to attending the Steering Committee meetings, Fernando served
as Co -Chair of the Stakeholder Committee; and
Fernando dedicated a year to a community-based planning effort to working
with Canal residents and business leaders to identify transportation concerns
and recommended improvements that will improve the quality of life in the
Canal neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Fernando Quezada for his substantial contributions to
prepare the Canal Transportation Plan.
