PRESENTS THIS
RESChUTION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
DOUGLAS MUNDO
WHEREAS, Douglas Mundo has been active in San Rafael as the Executive
Director of the Canal Welcome Center, an organization that advances the
Canal residents' social, cultural and economic well-being; and
WHEREAS, starting with the first meeting of the Canal Stakeholder Committee in
December 2005, Douglas has been an invaluable supporter of the
community-based planning process for the Canal Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, Douglas contributed the Canal Welcome Center facilities for the meetings of
the Canal Stakeholder Committee and for the Committee's first Open House
event; and
WHEREAS, Douglas was a gracious and accommodating host, supporting the Committee
members' work and assisting City and TAM staff as needed to ensure that
the meetings were comfortable and inviting; and
WHEREAS, Douglas and the Canal Welcome Center were an essential part of the year-
long effort to work with Canal residents and business leaders to identify
transportation concerns and recommended improvements that will improve
the quality of life in the Canal neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Douglas Mundo of the Canal Welcome Center for his
substantial contributions to prepare the Canal Transportation Plan.
