WHEREAS, as part of San Rafael's 2006 Great Race Finish Line Celebration,
you drove up to Placerville and stood for hours in 100° heat to take hundreds of
photos of the race participants; and
WHEREAS, you reviewed over 400 photos taken during the course of the two-
week Great Race event to select the "perfect" eight for the photo albums presented
to the Great Race participants when they crossed the Finish Line in Downtown San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, you very generously volunteered over 30 hours of your own time to
ensure that every driver and navigator would have a Finish Line photo of their
vehicle before they left San Rafael;
NOW THEREFORE, we acknowledge your participation with appreciation and
congratulate you for your role in San Rafael's selection as the most hospitable
overnight stop of the Great Race national tour, and thank you for your part in
bringing the $10,000 Great Race award to the San Rafael Public Library.
