PRESENTS THIS

KAREN NIELSEN
WHEREAS, as part of San Rafael's 2006 Great Race Finish Line Celebration, you
served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the City of San Ran Rafael, enthusiastically
welcoming the Great Race drivers and navigators to Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, you demonstrated San Rafael's hospitality by presenting gift bags to
race participants, sharing information about our community, and being an enthusiastic
cheerleader; and
WHEREAS, you turned out on a very hot day to perform your duties as an
Ambassador with a friendly smile for all; and
WHEREAS, you made the effort to provide homemade goodies to welcome the
Great Race drivers and navigators to Downtown San Rafael;
NOW THEREFORE, we acknowledge your participation with appreciation and
congratulate you for your role in San Rafael's selection as the most hospitable
overnight stop of the Great Race national tour, and thank you for your part in bringing
the $10,000 Great Race award to the San Rafael Public Library.
