WHEREAS, as part of San Rafael's 2006 Great Race Finish Line Celebration,
you volunteered your time to assist in assembling photograph albums and gift
bags presented to the Great Race drivers and navigators as they arrived in
Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, you helped make the assembly process both efficient and
enjoyable; and
WHEREAS, the gift bags you helped to create were an essential element in
demonstrating San Rafael's hospitality to our Great Race visitors;
NOW THEREFORE, we acknowledge your participation with appreciation
and congratulate you for your role in San Rafael's selection as the most
hospitable overnight stop of the Great Race national tour, and thank you for your
part in bringing the $10,000 Great Race award to the San Rafael Public Library.
