TO
Jim McElrath
Jim McElrath is a 32 year Fire Department veteran; and
Jim McElrath has worked at all San Rafael Fire Stations
in the capacity of Firefighter, Engineer, and Captain; and
WHEREAS, Jim McElrath has been a Fire Captain for 27 years. Jim has been a mentor,
teacher, and friend to his crews. He has been a most loyal and
dedicated Company Commander; Jim's caring and concern for his crew
members is matched by his service to the Citizens of the City of San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Jim McElrath has devoted countless hours to the Fire Department
Mapping Project. He has insured that Fire Companies will be using
the most accurate and up-to-date maps possible; and
WHEREAS, Jim McElrath served for many years as a Fire Investigator. This resulted
in many hours of difficult, tedious efforts and lengthy documentation; and
WHEREAS, Jim McElrath has expended his entire EMPLOYEE of the QUARTER
monetary reward of $100 on supplying all 18 Fire Companies with ice
cream.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby designate Jim McElrath as the Employee of the Quarter for the Third Quarter of
2006 and express sincere appreciation for his dedication, professiona sm and outstanding service
to the City of San ael.
