acknowredge residents of San Rafaelwho, through their dedicatedandsepss efforts, have hada
signfi'cant effect on the quality of fife in their community; and
WMEW,S, Tam (Dixon has been sefectedas the recipient of the !kichardT. OBrien andWary (Ferrario
O Brien Citizen of the Tear award due to her community involvement and support of the San Rafael
Library, and
`WXrE.S, Tam has been a resident of San Rafaerfor thirty years, and
` JMWF,AS, Tam has been actively involved with the Friends of the Libraryfor efeven years, including
service as president or vice president for eight years, and
` &MAS, Tam has brought an impressive set of professional and readership skiffs, an ability to recruit
andmotivate volunteers andan incredible workethic to herinvorvement, and
` &IRFA5, through Tam's efforts, the Triends' 600ksales have been transformed in terms of pubfic
interest andfinancial return, they have contri6uted a serf -checkout machine, provided the down payment on
a modular buiZing to further their activities, pledged $20, 000 towards the purchase of popurar book titles,
and predged to raise $100, 000 over two years to reprace the Library s reduced 600k buying budget, and

Tam Dixon's efforts on 6ehaff of her community andhereby awards her the Wichard(P. OBrien andWary
