RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF
AND ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $79,416.00
FOR ARREST POLICIES AND ENFORCEMENT OF PROTECTION ORDERS
Whereas, the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against
Women granted Marin Abused Women's Services $734,032 in grant funds; and
Whereas, the Marin Abused Women's Services wishes to subcontract with City
of San Rafael for $79,416 for a two year period; and,
Whereas, this grant money may be spent to pay costs associated with
statistical collection, dispatch service, and officer time locating suspects,
arresting suspects and serving protection orders; and,
Whereas, the City Council must approve use of the grant funds to begin the
process of grant approval;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
of and accepts $79,416 in grant funds.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the 6th day of June
2005 by the following vote, to wit:
