RESOUITION OF APPRECIATION
TO
LORRAINE SCHAU
WHEREAS Lorraine has been an active volunteer for twenty years in the
service of the San Rafael Public Library; and,
WHEREAS She has given wise leadership as a member of the Board of the
Friends of the Library, a group whose mission is to assist the
San Rafael Library in meeting the needs of the public, serving for
ten years as Treasurer and, most recently, as Secretary; and,
WHEREAS She has faithfully led a crew of Monday morning book menders
and trained others in the art of book repair to preserve
irreplaceable, valuable books for their continued use by the
community; as well as serving as cashier at countless book sales
sponsored by the Friends; and
WHEREAS Lorraine's cheerfulness, commitment, time, energy and
loyalty have helped make the San Rafael Public Library an
informative and exciting place to visit;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend Lorraine Schau for her tireless and selfless
efforts on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
