RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL FROM ECONOLITE CONTROL
PRODUCTS FOR PROCUREMENT OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLER
AND CAMERA SYSTEM EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $198,463.11
(SOLE SOURCE) AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael uses Econolite Control Products
throughout the City as a single system to operate and maintain; and
WHEREAS, new technology for traffic control systems enables the City of
San Rafael to efficiently operate the traffic signal system; and
WHEREAS, Econolite Control Products equipment and camera system has been
operating in the City for decades, and results have been satisfactory and highly reliable;
and
WHEREAS, Econolite Control Products is the sole source of direct
purchase of specified equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
San Rafael that the traffic signal equipment provided by Econolite Control Products is
accepted and Council does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to enter into a
purchasing agreement with Econolite Control Products in a form approved by the City
Attorney and in an amount not to exceed $198,463.11.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of
the Council of said City on the 18th day of July, 2005, by the following vote, to wit:
