A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE MARKED
AND TWO UNMARKED FORD POLICE CARS FOR $132,632.65
FROM FOLSOM LAKE FORD SALES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, three marked and two unmarked Police Department vehicles
are at their replacement time frames; and
WHEERAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement
Fund to purchase replacement vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and
vehicle life information and supports replacement of the vehicles in question; and
WHEREAS, the City, as a participant in the California Multiple Award
Schedule Contracts program, also known as State Bids, is exempt from advertising for
these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Folsom Lake Ford is the current approved dealer for the California
Multiple Award Schedule Contracts program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San
Rafael that the bid of Folsom Lake Ford Sales and the same is hereby accepted at said unit price
and that the purchase order for said vehicles is approved.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Director of Public Works is hereby
authorized to take any and all such actions and make changes as may be necessary to
accomplish the purpose of this Resolution.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of said City on the 19th day of September, 2005, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen
