RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
INSTITUTING THE HOLIDAY PARKING PROGRAM FROM
NOVEMBER 24, 2005 UNTIL DECEMBER 25, 2005 AND ALLOCATING
$109000 FOR A DOWNTOWN PARKING VALIDATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, each year the City Council has historically instituted a holiday parking
program from Thanksgiving until December 25 of the previous years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to continue this tradition during the holiday season
and give residents, employees, and visitors to the City of San Rafael free parking time; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to return part of the revenues generated during this
time to subsidize a year-round Downtown validation program.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Rafael that from November 24, 2005 until December 25, 2005, there shall be four -hours of
free parking at the City owned parking facilities located at 951 A St., 900 C St., 924 3rd St., and
1550 Fourth St.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ten -thousand dollars ($10,000), in revenue
generated during the dates contained herein, be appropriated for the purpose of creating,
implementing and subsidizing a Downtown parking validation program.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday, November 21, 2005, by the following vote, to wit:
