RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE SAN RAFAEL
POLICE AND MARIN COUNTY DIVISION OF ALCOHOL, DRUG AND
TOBACCO PROGRMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,100 FOR LOCAL
ENFORCEMENT OF YOUTH ACCESS TO ALCOHOL LAWS ACTIVITIES
Whereas, the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services granted
the San Rafael Police Department $23,100 in grant funds; and,
Whereas, this grant money may be spent to pay costs associated with the in the
City of San Rafael from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2007; and,
Whereas, the City of San Rafael Police Department has agreed to conduct
alcohol compliance checks at least two times per year at 90% of the eligible
establishments selling alcoholic beverages in the City of San Rafael; and,
Whereas, the City of San Rafael Police Department has agreed to partner with
Alcohol Beverage Control to conduct IMPACT inspections and with the County of
Marin to conduct Responsible Beverage Service training to establishments
selling alcoholic beverages in the City of San Rafael; and,
Whereas, the Department will use those funds for personnel costs associated
with the Local Enforcement of Youth Access to Alcohol Laws activities;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
of $23,100 in grant funds.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the 21th day of
November 2005 by the following vote, to wit:
