CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
KcauhOT10N OF APPRECINTION
TO
STEPHANIE SMITH LOVETTE
WHEREAS, Stephanie has been a valued member of the San Rafael Economic
Development Department since July 19, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie plays a critical role in serving the needs of the business and
residential community through her work in redevelopment and housing; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie manages the Below Market Rate affordable housing program,
created a homebuyer down payment program for City employees, and
administers grants for the creation of affordable housing; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie has invaluable knowledge of bond financing and the fiscal
mysteries of the Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie has been an active participant in numerous committees and
projects, including the Pickleweed Community Center Expansion, Canal
Development Team, Medway/Canal Enhancement Project, Health and
Safety Committee, Charitable Giving Committee, and the Employee Budget
Workgroup; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie volunteers her time each week to lead a Canal Girl Scout troop,
whose primary educational focus is marketing, accomplished through cookie
sales, and mentors local High School students for college preparation; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie is respected and appreciated for her professionalism, her
commitment to San Rafael, and for her humor, grace and loyalty;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby designate Stephanie Smith Lovette as the Employee of the Quarter for
the fourth quarter of 2003 and express sincere appreciation for her dedication,
professionalism and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
