CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF RPPRECIRTION
TO
PEACOCK GARDEN CLUB
WHEREAS, the National Arbor Day Foundation has designated the City of
San Rafael as a Tree City USA; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael takes great pride in its urban
reforestation program; and
WHEREAS, the Peacock Garden Club is also dedicated to preserving and
improving the quality of life in the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the Peacock Garden Club has demonstrated for over some 20
years their dedication to the citizens of San Rafael by actively participating in the planning,
coordination, and tree planting activities that commemorate the Arbor Day Celebration; and
WHEREAS, on April 12, 2004, the Council would like to acknowledge
those many years of participation, and generous financial contributions to the City of San
Rafael from the Peacock Garden Club towards the purchase of those special Arbor Day trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Mayor and
City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby expresses its sincere appreciation to the
Peacock Garden Club for its years of participation in this program and their contributions
that have made the quality of life better for the citizens of San Rafael.
