CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLlUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
David Donery
Whereas; David P. Donery embarked on his career with the City of San Rafael in 1989 by
generating his own salary as a contract employee who developed youth after-school programs, day
camps, sports programs and any other revenue generating recreation program he could think of; and
Early in his chosen profession the youth of San Rafael affectionately titled him "Big
Whereak; David was whistled aboard to care for and speed the meteor known as Pickleweed
Community Center; and
WhP.re,CW, Through his creative efforts the Canal Development Team, Pickleweed Advisory Board,
Summer of Peace, Kid's Club, Canal Youth and Family Council, Canal Communications Network and
many other programs have catapulted to stable, sustainable, successful community resources; and
Whe4-W4; David guided the community process that developed the plan for the Pickleweed
Expansion Project and, as project team member, has been successful in fundraising for the project; and
Whev-ea,k, David's humor, along with his dedication to and respect for the Canal Neighborhood,
customers, coworkers, and community colleagues have led him to be a trusted and treasured
ambassador for the City and the Community Services Department;
Now tharefore L -e,, X rW-Wed/ that the Mayor and the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby designate David Donery as Employee of the Year for 2003, and express sincere appreciation for
his dedication, professionalism and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
