PRESENTS THIS

TO
MARY ELLEN IRWIN
WHEREAS, since 1993 when appointed by the Mayor and City Council, Mary
Ellen Irwin has served as a Fire Commissioner for the City of San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Mary Ellen has a passion for fire safety and education, and has
worked tirelessly in her neighborhood and throughout the County
to develop and promote wildfire prevention programs; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her contributions to fire safety, she is also a member
of the Steering Committee of the Federation of San Rafael
Neighborhoods, served as a Board member and advisor to the
Fairhills Property Owners Association and helped write a local
book on the history of the Fairhills community; and
WHEREAS, Mary Ellen Irwin is an exceptional example of a civic -minded,
public -oriented individual;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby commend Mary Ellen Irwin for her tireless and
selfless efforts on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
