HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 11555 (Pickleweed CC Individual Donation Policy)RESOLUTION NO. 11555 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPROVING PICKLEWEED PARK COMMUNITY CENTER INDIVIDUAL DONATION POLICY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows: Whereas, funding for the Pickleweed Park Community Center Renovation and Expansion Project is solicited from public, foundation and individual/private sources; and Whereas, naming opportunities for significant contributions is an important mechanism for recognition of donors, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael Approves Pickleweed Park Community Center Individual Donation Policy. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a re�lar meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday, the 17`h of May, 2004 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, W l l er, Phillips & Playor Boro NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None JEAWE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk PICKLEWEED PARK COMMUNITY CENTER INDIVIDUAL DONATION POLICY The purpose of this policy is to provide for the recognition of Individual and Private contributions to the Pickleweed Park Community Center Renovation and Expansion Project Names of donors contributing $5,000 or more to the Pickleweed Park Community Center Renovation Project will be displayed on the "Wall of Honor" in the Lobby of the Center at the completion of construction. The Wall will be a permanent installation. Specific rooms within the Community Center may be named for contributions as described below: Facility Classroom(s) Teen Center Art Room Library Gymnasium Community Center Minimum Donation $ 100,000 100,000 200,000 250,000 500,000 1,000,000 Donor names, family names or names submitted for memorial are appropriate. Naming proposals should be submitted in writing to San Rafael Parks and Recreation Commission c/o San Rafael Community Services, 618 B Street San Rafael, CA 94901 The Commission will review each proposal and make a recommendation to the City Council for approval.
