RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROVING AN EXPENDITURE FOR THE INSTALLATION
AND PURCHASE OF A RELOCATABLE CLASSROOM
FOR COLEMAN CHILDREN'S CENTER
WHEREAS, San Rafael City Schools has requested that the City of San Rafael purchase
a relocatable classroom to provide childcare at Coleman Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, the new building will require an expenditure not to exceed $98,500; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the relocatable classroom is being made in a co-operative
purchase program with the Santa Rita Union School District and is therefore exempt from
the City's bidding requirements (SRMC § 2.55.260) ; and
WHEREAS, the City will fund this expenditure from grant and reserve accounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael
does approve an expenditure of up to and including $98,500 from Child Care Division funds for
the purchase of a relocatable classroom building for Coleman Children's Center.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City on Monday, the seventh day of June 7, 2004, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
