TO
W.T. (WILL) RIGNEY, DIRECTOR of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS, SBC
Whereas, Camp Chance is a weeklong camping experience for middle school
children to have fun and build bridges with law enforcement; and,
Whereas, Camp Chance is made possible by the San Rafael Police Department
and the Marin County Sheriff; and,
Whereas, Camp Chance is supported by the donations from citizens and
businesses throughout Marin County; and,
Whereas, W. T. (Will) Rigney, Director External Affairs of SBC California is a
generous contributor to the efforts to enhance the experience of the next
generation of Marin residents, exemplifying Community Oriented Public Spirit in
his support of Camp Chance and Marin County Law Enforcement; and,
WHEREAS, on October 19th, 2004, the Council would like to acknowledge the
participation and generous financial contributions to the City of San Rafael from
Mr. Rigney and SBC towards the operation of Camp Chance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby expresses its sincere appreciation to W.T. (Will)
Rigney for his support of Camp Chance and his contributions on behalf of SBC
California that have made the quality of life better for the citizens of San Rafael.
