WILLIAM (BRIAN) SHERIDAN
Brian has been a valued member of the San Rafael Building and Safety Division
since 1999; and
Brian has become a very effective Building Inspector, balancing the careful
enforcement of construction codes with outstanding customer service — helping
contractors and homeowners understand the codes and different ways of
achieving their project objectives; and
Brian is always quick to support his Building Division colleagues and provides
inter -divisional cooperation by assisting the Code Enforcement Division in their
activities; and
Brian provided "the Extra Measure" by saving the City several thousand dollars
in the recent remodel of the third floor of City Hall. Knowing of the City's
budget shortfall, Brian called forth his experience as a painting contractor by
volunteering to lead staff in painting the new construction during evenings,
weekends and holidays, providing exceptional leadership and painstaking quality
control, resulting in an upgrade to public meeting facilities and staff workspace
of which we are very proud.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby designate William (Brian) Sheridan as the Employee of the Quarter for the
Third Quarter of 2004 and express sincere appreciation for his dedication, professionalism and
outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
