Diane started working for the City of San Rafael Public Works Department in September
Diane has been a source of professionalism, competency, calm and maturity in a setting
that is always busy and often hectic; and
Whereas, Diane has a well developed sense that San Rafael's citizens are DPW's valued
customers and acts accordingly; and
Whereat, Diane's relationships with co-workers are excellent because she is one of those rare
individuals who sincerely cares about people and takes the time to listen; and
W11erea4, Diane's shorthand skills have become an indispensable asset to typing challenged Public
Works managers; and;
Wherea4, Diane's marvelous cakes have become the stuff of legend, an indispensable part of the
City's organizational and gastronomical culture; and
Whereak, those persistent rumors about store-bought cake mixes are unfounded and spring solely
from the petty jealousies of those whose baking skills cannot now and never will measure up to Diane's
Olympian standards.
Now herefore- UPi X rescWe& that the Mayor and the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby designate E)%aNLei Wa.Chtewas Employee of the Quarter for the First Quarter of 2003, and
express sincere appreciation for her dedication, professionalism and outstanding service to the City of
San Rafael.
