WHEREAS, since the first city-wide Clean -Up and Beautification Day on May 11,
1996, Laura Kershaw has never missed a day of organizing and
hosting the Santa Margarita Neighborhood Association volunteer sign -
in table; and
WHEREAS, for over ten years, Laura has contributed countless hours as a parent
volunteer for die Terra Linda Orcas Swim Team and Board, making
hundreds of phone calls, and serving as a motivator and example of
civic participation to all with whom she has worked; and
WHEREAS, since die earliest days of die revitalized Santa Margarita
Neighborhood Association in 1991, Laura has served as organizer and
Board member, presenting valuable insight and a cheerful can -do
attitude inspiring others to contribute time and resources to
community issues; and
WHEREAS, die friends and neighbors of Laura have nominated her for
recognition as In unforgettable example of tie good people can do;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby commend Laura Kershaw for her tireless and selfless efforts on
behalf of the City of San Rafael.
