CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESMUTION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
SUESCOTT
WHEREAS, Sue Scott has been active in San Rafael as a 30 year resident and a member
of the Bret Harte Neighborhood Association. She is a former Planning
Commissioner, is active with Hospice of Marin and served on the Our Vision
of Downtown San Rafael Committee; and
WHEREAS, in May, 2000, Sue was appointed by the San Rafael City Council to the San
Rafael General Plan 2020 Steering Committee charged with preparing a
recommended draft General Plan for San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Sue served as a representative to balance the various interests and act as a
visionary for the broader San Rafael community; and
WHEREAS, in addition to attending the Steering Committee meetings, Sue served on the
Economic Vitality Task Group and Document Subcommittee, as well as being
a Steering Committee Co-chair; and
WHEREAS, Sue dedicated three years to a community planning effort to create the goals,
policies and programs of San Rafael General Plan 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sue Scott for her substantial contributions to prepare the
draft San Rafael General Plan 2020 and for her vision for the betterment of the San Rafael
community. Small wonder that we are wont to exclaim: "We are living well in San Rafael."
