PRESENTS THIS
RESOMITION OF IIPPRECIdTION
TO
PAUL SLOAN
WHEREAS, Paul Sloan has been active in San Rafael as a resident of the Dominican
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Paul Sloan for his substantial contributions to prepare the
draft San Rafael General Plan 2020 and for his vision for the betterment of the San Rafael
community. Small wonder that we are wont to exclaim: "We are living well in San Rafael."

Neighborhood and member of the Chamber of Commerce. Paul also works
as a San Rafael attorney; and
WHEREAS,
in May, 2000, Paul was appointed by the San Rafael City Council to the San
Rafael General Plan 2020 Steering Committee charged with preparing a
recommended draft General Plan for San Rafael; and
WHEREAS,
Paul served as a representative to balance the various interests and act as a
visionary for the broader San Rafael community; and
WHEREAS,
in addition to attending the Steering Committee meetings, Paul served on the
Economic Vitality Task Group and Document Subcommittee as well as
being a Steering Committee Co-chair; and
WHEREAS,
Paul dedicated three years to a community planning effort to create the goals,
policies and programs of San Rafael General Plan 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Paul Sloan for his substantial contributions to prepare the
draft San Rafael General Plan 2020 and for his vision for the betterment of the San Rafael
community. Small wonder that we are wont to exclaim: "We are living well in San Rafael."
