RESOLUTION NO. 11382
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
REBOhIDTION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
C. PAUL BETTIM
SAN RAFAEL PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER
WHEREAS, Commissioner Bettini has served San Rafael in official
capacities as Planning Commissioner, Council Member, Mayor, and Park and
Recreation Commissioner over a span of thirty years; and
WHEREAS, C. Paul Bettini has served on the Park and Recreation
Commission since 1999 and has been a champion for local parks and senior
nroarams: and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Bettini was a valued resource for historical
information regarding City land acquisition, park development, and neighborhood
WHEREAS, Commissioner Bettini was instrumental in the planning for the
Parkside Childcare Center, the Shoreline Park improvements, the McInnis
Skatepark project, the Redwood Village Park project, the Terra Linda Community
Pool Renovation, Freitas Park Renovation, Gerstle Park Renovation, Bret Harte
Park Renovation, Santa Margarita Park Renovation, and Pickleweed Community
Center Expansion; and
WHEREAS, the wit and wisdom of Commissioner Bettini lent clarity and
perspective to the public meetings conducted by the Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPRECIATES THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF PARK
AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER C. PAUL BETTINI.
