CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESGUITION OF APPRECIATION
TO
JAMES FORSYTHE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, Jim Forsythe has been a valued member of the Department of Public Works
Street Maintenance Division since 1980, when he began his career as a Sweeper Operator; and
WHEREAS, Jim has advanced steadily through the ranks of the Street Maintenance
Division and was promoted to Assistant Street Maintenance Supervisor in 1986; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career with the City Jim has demonstrated initiative, loyalty,
knowledge of the workings of the Public Works Department and, perhaps most importantly, a
fundamental commitment to serving the citizens of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, he is equally effective responding to concerns expressed by San Rafael
residents and to the needs of the individuals he supervises because his interactions are unfailingly
respectful and because he is consistently willing to provide whatever assistance and support is
needed to solve the problem at hand.
WHEREAS, for these and many other reasons Jim has earned the respect of his peers
throughout the City of San Rafael;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby designate Jim Forsythe as the Employee of the Quarter for the Third quarter
of 2003, and express sincere appreciation for his dedication, professionalism and outstanding
service to the City of San Rafael and its citizens.
