RESOLUTION NO. 11047
RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF WIDE AREA NETWORK EQUIPMENT TO
DATACONNECT, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,152.98.
Whereas, the City's Technology Strategic Plan includes the implementation of a
new Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System for the Fire
Department; and,
Whereas, the acquisition of Wide Area Network Equipment is an integral part of
the new Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System Project; and,
Whereas, the required equipment was included in a competitive request for bid
in the City of Mountain View on November 30, 2001; and,
Whereas, said competitive bid is extended to other political subdivisions; and,
Whereas, the bid of Dataconnect, Inc. in the amount of $48,152.98 was and is
the lowest and best bid for said equipment and said bidder is the lowest
responsible bidder therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager of said City be
authorized and directed to execute a purchase order or agreement, in a form
approved by the City Attorney, for the purchase of Wide Area Network
Equipment from Dataconnect, Inc. in the amount of $48,152.98.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Assistant City Manager is hereby
authorized to take any and all such actions and make changes and expedite
such agreements, in a form approved by the City Attorney, as may be necessary
to accomplish the purpose of this resolution.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on
the eighteenth day of March, 2002 by the following vote, to wit:
