A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL
DOCUMENTATION PREPARED FOR THE THIRD AMENDED AND
RESTATED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE CENTRAL SAN RAFAEL
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health &
Safety Code Section 33000 et SeMc .) and to direction by the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency
(the "Agency"), staff and consultants are preparing for distribution to each affected taxing entity,
and other interested parties, environmental documentation (the "Environmental Documentation")
for the Third Amended and Restated Redevelopment Plan for the Central San Rafael
Redevelopment Project (the "Amended Plan"); and
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted on May 21, 2001, the City Council of the City of San
Rafael (the "City Council") designated the City of San Rafael as the Lead Agency under the
California Environmental Quality Act for the preparation of environmental documents for the
Amended Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, as Lead Agency, hereby authorizes and directs staff to distribute the Environmental
Documentation to all affected taxing entities, the Planning Commission, and various other
interested persons and entities as required by law.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City on Monday, the 20th day of May, 2002, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
