CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF i1PPREEIRTION
TO
Gardeners' Guild
Whereas, Gardeners' Guild, San Rafael, is a Landscape Management firm that
offers a Sustainable Landscape Management (SLM) program which
provides assistance with reducing the use of synthetic fertilizers and
pesticides and conserving water; and
Whereas, Gardeners' Guild has decreased their energy and water use by
installing compact fluorescent light bulbs and "low -flow toilets";
and
Whereas, Gardeners' Guild has also reduced solid waste generation through
"grass -cycling" and by recycling at their facility; and
Whereas, Gardeners' Guild has been awarded a Marin County Green Business
Program Award from the Marin County Board of Supervisors on
April 23, 2002,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby commend Gardeners' Guild for their
efforts to protect the environmental resources of the City of San
Rafael and herewith express their sincere appreciation for their
contribution to San Rafael.
