RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE TRAFFIC
SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT "A" ST. BETWEEN 2ND ST. AND
3" ST. AND INTERIM SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT MISSION
AVEJLINCOLN AVE., PROJECT NOS. 10784 & 10785 AND
AUTHORIZE STAFF TO REBID.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 2"a day of July, 2002, pursuant to due and legal notice
published in the manner provided by law, inviting sealed bids or proposals for the work
hereinafter mentioned, as more fully appears from the Affidavit of Publication thereof on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California, the City Clerk of
said City did publicly open, examine and declare all sealed bids or proposals for doing the
following work in said City, to wit:
"TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT "A" ST. BETWEEN 2ND
ST. AND 3RD ST. AND INTERIM SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT
MISSION AVEJLINCOLN AVE."
PROJECT NOS. 10784 & 10785
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore on file in the office of said City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, staff have analyzed the submitted bids and found
inconsistencies in same; and
WHEREAS, the City reserves the right to reject all bids, under Section
6.09 of the contract documents;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED
that the Mayor and the City Clerk of said City be authorized to reject all the bids for said
work and to return the bidders bond to all the respective bidders, and authorize staff to
rebid the project.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on the 15th day of July, 2002, by the following
vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
