RESOLUTION NO. 11144
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
SUZIE POLLACK
WHEREAS, Suzie Pollack has served as a leader of umbrella organizations for non-
profits in Marin County for more than twenty years; and
WHEREAS, Suzie began working as a volunteer in the 1970's and dedicated herself
to a number of projects, including the Marin Designer Showcase, which
supported the Volunteer Center; and
WHEREAS, Suzie joined the staff of the Marin Council of Agencies in 1980 and
became Executive Director in 1982, a position she held for twenty years;
and
WHEREAS, in this capacity, Suzie was able to pull together groups of non-profit
directors and help them accomplish their goals; and
WHEREAS, for the past two years, Suzie headed an expanded group created when
the Marin Council of Agencies merged with the Volunteer Center of
Marin, forming Marin Nexus, a program designed to strengthen and
support non-profit agencies, community leaders, and volunteers in the
County; and
WHEREAS, during all her years of service, Suzie not only demonstrated her many
skills and talents, but she did so with a smile and a sense of caring that is
very contagious.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby recognize the tremendous accomplishments and tireless efforts of San Rafael
resident Suzie Pollack. Her many contributions will long be remembered in Marin County.
