RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DECLARING A PARKING METER HOLIDAY FROM WEDNESDAY,
NOVEMBER 27, 2002 THROUGH SUNDAY, JANUARY 5, 2003.
WHEREAS, each year the City Council has historically declared this holiday from the
Wednesday before Thanksgiving until December 25`h of the previous years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to continue this tradition during the holiday season
and give residents, employees, and visitors to the City of San Rafael free parking time.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Rafael that from Wednesday, November 27, 2002 through Sunday, January 5, 2003, there
shall be two -hours of free parking for all two-hour parking meters and the first two hours of
parking in the 3`a and A St. City owned parking facility.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday, November 4, 2002, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Miller and Vice -Mayor Cohen
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Phillips and Mayor Boro
