RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AWARDING THE PURCHASE OF TEN NETWORK SWITCH DEVICES FROM
CDW-G, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,185.03.
Whereas, the City is implementing a new Telephone System for use within the
organization; and
Whereas, the purchase of ten network switch devices is integral and required for
the completion of the telephone system implementation; and,
Whereas, the purchase of the ten network switch devices will be financed as
part of the Telephone System Project; and
Whereas, the required equipment is offered by the CDW-G, Inc. through the
California Municipal Awards Schedule, which includes the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the purchase of the aforementioned
products will be made under a public agency cooperative purchasing program
that is exempt from competitive bidding requirements pursuant to San Rafael
Municipal Code Section 2.55.260.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager or designee be
authorized and directed to execute a purchase order or agreement, in a form
approved by the City Attorney, for the purchase of 10 Network Switch Devices
from CDW-G, Inc. in an amount of $42,185.03;
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the seventh day of May,
2007 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Miller and Vice -Mayor Cohen
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Phillips
DISQUALIFIED/ COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Boro (due to potential conflict of
ABSENT: interest)
