Mayor Phillips invited those wishing to submit protest / support cards to do so prior to the end of the
Public Hearing for the San Rafael Business Improvement District.

There was Council consensus (straw vote) to approve the hiring of a Police Officer, to be memorialized at
City Council meeting of June 3, 2013. Item 7.a. continued to City Council Meeting of June 3, 2013.
CITY MANAGER'S REPORT:
8. City Manager's Report
Jim Schutz , Assistant City Manager reported:
a) Budget Presentation to be made at the next Council meeting; and
b) City of San Rafael was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Excellence in Financial
Reporting (CAEFR) by the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA), and he
commended the Finance Department.

Councilmember Heller reported on legislative meetings she attended and supplied material to the City

Councilmember Connolly reported on his attendance at the TAM Executive Committee meeting on behalf
of Mayor Phillips, and the liaison meeting with Dixie School District and San Rafael School District.

meeting with girl scouts regarding traffic safety at Davidson Middle School.
