ORDINANCE NO. 1205
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 14.13.130 - GUIDE TO CALCULATING
NUMBER OF PARKING SPACES REQUIRED - OFFICES,
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Chapter 14.13, Section 14.13.130, Subsections
(b) and (c) of the Municipal Code of the City of San Rafael are here-
by amended and shall read as follows:
14.13.130 (b) One parking space for each 200 square feet
of floor area, plus one-half space for each employee.
(c) Adequate stacking lane design, plus reservoir
stacking spaces for eight vehicles for each drive-in teller's station,
plus such other stationary parking as may be required in subsection
(b) above.
DIVISION 2. This Ordinance is an Ordinance for the im-
mediate preservation of public peace, planning objectives, economic
goals, health and safety, and one of urgency which shall take effect
immediately. The facts constituting the urgency are that the parking
requirements heretofore provided in the Municipal Code are unneces-
sarily stringent and restrictive. This Ordinance will alleviate problems
created by the former Ordinance and further the City's economic and
planning needs, and add to the general welfare of San Rafael residents.

The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1205 was adopted
as an Urgency Ordinance of the City of San Rafael at a regular meeting
of the City Council of San Rafael held on the 1st day of December ,
1975, by the following vote, to -wit:
