entitled:
An Ordinance of the City of San Rafael repealing in its
entirety Sections 5.60.068 and 5.60.070 of Chapter 5.60,
Title 5 of the San Rafael Municipal Code pertaining to Ten
Hour Parking Meter Zones and Two Hour Parking Meter Zones.

ORDINANCE NO. 1215
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL REPEALING
IN ITS ENTIRETY SECTIONS 5.60.068 AND 5.60.070 OF
CHAPTER 5.60, TITLE 5 OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL
CODE PERTAINING TO TEN HOUR PARKING METER ZONES
AND TWO HOUR PARKING METER ZONES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Sections 5.60.068 and 5.60.070 of Chapter 5.60, Title
5 of the San Rafael Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
DIVISION 2. New Sections 5.60.068 and 5.60.070 are hereby added,
and the San Rafael Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 5.60.068 Ten Hour Parking Meter Zones. The parking limits
upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-263-22 being the upper level of a city
parking lot located on the northwest corner of Third Street and Lootens
Place, more specifically meters numbered 1 through 90, inclusive; upon County
Assessor's Parcel 11-261-19 being a city parking lot located on the northwest
corner of Third and "A" Streets, more specifically meters numbered 13 through
29, inclusive; upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-221-07 a city parking lot on
the north side of Fifth Avenue at Lootens Place, more specifically meters
numbered 8 through 23, inclusive; along the west side of Hetherton Street
from Second Street to Mission Avenue, more specifically numbered as follows:
west side between Second Street and Third Street, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15;
west side between Third Street and Fourth Street, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15,
17, 19, 21; west side between Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9,
11, 13, 15; west side between Fifth Avenue and Mission Avenue, 1, 3, 5, 7,
9, 11, 13, 15, 17; are hereby fixed at a period of ten consecutive hours.
Those parking meters as specifically set forth in the preceeding
paragraph shall be so adjusted as to show in addition to the matters set forth
in Section 5.60.060, legal parking for an additional nine consecutive hours
or fraction thereof, upon and after the deposit of United States coins in the
amount of a five cent coin or from five additional United States one cent
coins for parking upon said portions of the parking lots for each additional
consecutive hour or portion thereof.
Section 5.60.070 Two Hour Parking Meter Zones. The parking limits
upon Third Street from Tamalpais Avenue to "E" Street, upon Nye Street from
Fifth Avenue to Mission Avenue, upon "A" Street from Third Street southerly
to the Northwestern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, upon the west side of
Court Street from Fifth Avenue to Mission Avenue, upon County Assessor's
Parcel 11-221-07 being a city parking lot located on the north side of Fifth
Avenue and Lootens Place, more specifically meters numbered 1 through 7,
inclusive and 24 through 30, inclusive; upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-261-
19 being a city parking lot located on the northwest corner of Third Street
and "A" Street, more specifically meters numbered 1 through 12, inclusive and
30 through 69, inclusive; upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-212-15 being the
lower level of a city parking lot located on the southeast corner of Fifth
Avenue and "C" Street, more specifically meters numbered 1 through 52, inclu-
sive; upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-273-17 a city parking lot located
on the northeast corner of Third Street and Cijos Street, more specifically
meters numbered 1 through 60, inclusive; upon County Assessor's Parcel 11-
263-22 the lower level of a city parking lot located on the northwest corner
of Third Street and Lootens Place, more specifically meters numbered 1 through
108, inclusive; are hereby fixed at a period of two consecutive hours. Those
meters as specifically set forth in the preceeding paragraph shall be so ad-
justed as to show in addition to the matter set forth in Section 5.60.060,
legal parking for an additional or second consecutive hour or fraction thereof,
upon and after the deposit of one additional United States five cent coin or
from one to five additional United States one cent coins shall be made for
parking upon said portions of said streets and that portion of the parking
lots.
DIVISION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this Ordinance is for any regson held to be invalid such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The
Council hereby declares that it would have adopted the ordinance and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the
fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases
be declared invalid.
DIVISION 4. This ordinance shall be published once in full before
its final passage, in the Independent Journal , a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of San Rafael,
and shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its final
passage.

The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1215 was read and intro-
duced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
held on Monday, the 1st day of March, 1976, and was ordered passed to print
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan and Payor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
and will come up for adoption as an ordinance of the City of San Rafael at a
regular meeting of the Council to be held on the 22nd day of March, 1976.
