passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the
19th day of July 19 76 by the following

ORDINANCE NO. 1230
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 6.10.220, ESTRAYS GOVERNED BY STATUTE,
OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Section 6.10.220 of the San Rafael Municipal
Code is hereby amended and shall read in its entirety as follows:
6.10.220 Estrays Governed by Statute. Notwithstanding
any provision in this Chapter to the contrary, the provisions of
California Food and Agricultural Code Division 9, Part 1, Chapter 7
shall be complied with in reference to estray bovine animals, horses,
mules and burros.
However, the stray animals will be subject to the following
charges, payable to the City:
(1) For every horse, mare, ass, ox, cow, bull, colt, or
calf over the age of six months, a charge of Ten Dollars and an addi-
tional charge of Two Dollars per day for keeping.
(2) For every colt or calf under the age of six months
and for every sheep, lamb, goat, or hog, a charge of Five Dollars
and a charge of Two Dollars per day for keeping. The City shall also
be entitled to collect for all costs incurred in connection with all
of said animals set forth in (1) and (2), including but not limited
to the cost of advertising, transportation, drugs and veterinary
services.
DIVISION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
full before its final passage in the Independent Journal , a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the
City of San Rafael, and shall be in full force and effect thirty
(30) days after its final passage.

and introduced at a rac0Ar meeting of the City Council of
the City of San Rafael, held on the Gth day of July
1976, and ordered passed to print by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael
at a reqular meeting of the Council to be held on the 19th
day of July , 1976.
