HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 10389 (Purchase Utility Truck)RESOLUTION NO. 10389 A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE UTILITY TRUCK FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, PROCUREMENT DIVISION FOR THE AMOUNT OF $32,471.66 WHEREAS, the San Rafael Fire Department has identified one (1) utility truck that meets the criteria for replacement during this fiscal year (1998/99); and WHEREAS, section 2.55.260 of the City's Purchasing Policy exempts cooperative purchase with other agencies from the competitive bidding requirement of Chapter 2.55 of the City of San Rafael Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the State of California satisfied competitive bidding requirements and has signed a contract with various dealers on Contract 1-99-23-20, and; WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City financially to purchase the above mentioned vehicle through the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF SAN RAFAEL does hereby authorize the Fire Department, to purchase one (1) vehicle listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for and on behalf of the City of San Rafael pursuant to Section 10324 of the California Public Contract Code, and that the Fire Chief is hereby authorized to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of the City of San Rafael to the State contract vendor. The cost of the one (1) vehicle shall not exceed a total of $33,000.00. I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on April 5, 1999 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None JEA&M LEONCINI, City Clerk ORIGINAL.
