RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE FOR SLTPP TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation provides financial
assistance to local agencies through a program called the State -Local Transportation Partnership
Program (SLTPP) for the construction of transportation improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, the City utilizes the SLTPP program to help fund construction of
eligible transportation projects; and
WHEREAS, presently, the City has three projects that are eligible for
partial reimbursement under the SLTPP guidelines:
1) Traffic Signal Installation at the Intersection of Bellam Bl./Kerner B1.
2) Traffic Signal Installation at the Intersection of Civic Center Dr. 'McInnis Pkwy.
3) Traffic Signal Installation on D St. at Bayview St.; and
WHEREAS, to receive state funding through the SLTPP, the Director of Public
Works must execute an agreement with the State for each eligible project.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED that
the Director of Public Works be authorized to execute agreements for State reimbursement of all
SLTPP traffic improvement projects.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 15"' day of December, 1997,
by the following vote, to wit:
