A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL ACCEPTING THE FINDINGS OF THE PUBLIC WORKS
STUDY ENTITLED "SAN RAFAEL STORM WATER PUMP
STATION PROJECT 1995-1996—MODERNIZATION AND
RENOVATION" AND ADOPTING THE IMPLEMENTATION
SCHEDULE AND ALLOCATING FUNDING OF THE PROJECT
FROM THE CLEAN STORM WATER FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$225,000 DURING FISCAL YEAR 1996/97 AND $215,000 DURING
FISCAL YEAR 1997/98.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council, directed the Public Works
Department to study the storm water pump stations in San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the study was performed and compiled by staff of the
Engineering Division under the direction of the Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this study was to locate and catalogue
deficiencies at each pump station, recommend appropriate repair procedures to correct the
deficiencies, and develop cost estimates and an implementation schedule based upon the
recommendations.
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency, by Resolution 96-27, has
accepted the finding of the report and recommended that Council accept the report and
adopt the implementation schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
San Rafael that the implementation schedule attached as Exhibit 1 which was developed
as a guideline for phasing the work over a ten year period is adopted by Council; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds for the project will be
acquired from the Clean Storm Water Fund in the amount of $225,000 during fiscal year
1996/97 and $215,000 during fiscal year 1997/98.
BE IT LASTLY RESOLVED that staff shall resubmit an
implementation schedule and funding request within the next two years for the
remaining phases of the project for Council's consideration and approval.
