CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF dPPRECIdTION
TO
CANAL COMMUNITY ALLIANCE
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the San Rafael community came together to describe the
Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael; and
the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined streets
that are pleasant to walk; and
a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves to be the
organization Downtown Trees, and gathered community
efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
Canal Community Alliance demonstrated their civic
responsibility, their committment to community spirit and
volunteer action by participating in the tree planting project;
and
Canal Community Alliance arranged for young members of
the community to work as tree planters and gave them the
opportunity to gain work experience as well as benefit the City
through a beautification efforrt.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council, on
behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Canal Community Alliance for their efforts in
making Our Vision for Downtown San Rafael come alive.
