RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF THREE PARKING ENFORCEMENT VEHICLES THROUGH
THE CITY OF STOCKTON COMPETITIVE BID PROCESS AND
APPROPRIATING $34,000 FROM THE VEHICLE REPLACEMENT FUND
AND $17,000 FROM THE ABANDONED VEHICLE FUND.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is a need to purchase
three new parking enforcement vehicles.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best vehicle to meet our
needs is the Westward Industries GO -4 three wheeled utility
vehicle.
WHEREAS, these vehicles are available through the City of Stockton
competitive bid process.
WHEREAS, there are no funds currently budgeted for the purchase of
these vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that staff is authorized to purchase three parking
enforcement vehicles manufactured by Westward Industries through
the City of Stockton Bid Process and that $34,000 is appropriated
from the Equipment Replacement Fund and $17,000 is appropriated
from the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Fund to purchase the vehicles.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the council of said
City on TUESDAY , the 21ST of FEBRUARY, 1995,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Phillips, Zappetini & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen
