Dear Ms. Cronin:
Thank you for allowing JHK do Associates the opportunity to review and
discuss the videotape - "Understanding Traffic Congestion" which we developed for
the Maryland -National Capital Planning Commission. Lawrence Sauve of our San
Francisco office indicated that San Rafael staff was receptive to having the tape
presented at a session of city council and at community meetings that will be held as
part of the Draft General Plan review process. We should note that there will be no
problem in having a copy of the tape made available to San Rafael staff for
presentation at public meetings. A copy will be provided to you at no charge.
JHK is also available to assist City staff in the presentation of traffic related
aspects of the Draft General Plan. This assistance will involve development with
City staff input of a handout and presentation materials for the meetings and
attendance at the city council meeting which will initiate the public review process.
At the council meeting we can provide an overview of level of service as well as an
introduction to the videotape. We will also be available for follow-up discussion
regarding the tape and traffic level of service in general.
We estimate that the cost of the above services will not exceed $1500. This
includes direct labor as well as related expenses. We understand that the
presentation at the council will not be scheduled until May; however, we can initiate
development of accompanying materials as soon as possible following notice to
proceed.
If this work program is agreeable, please forward a purchase order at your
earliest convenience. If you have any further questions regarding this proposal,
please of hesitaa to tall.
ACCEPTED: Sincerely yours,
Cityo San R fae
