A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
SAN RAFAEL DECLARING THE ELECTIVE OFFICE OF
COUNCILMEMBER OF SAN RAFAEL VACANT
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 2, 1987
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1987, Councilmember Jerry R.
Russom passed away after a short illness while serving a 4 -year
term; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Charter, at Article 6,
Section 7, provides that the elective office of Councilmember
becomes vacant upon the death of the encumbent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael
City Council declares the elective office of Councilmember
vacant as of February 2, 1987 due to the death of Council -
member Jerry R. Russom.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of San Rafael on Tuesday, the
Seventeenth day of February, 1987, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
