Nineteen applications were received by the deadline of June 23, 2017; however, it was determined that four of the applicants were not residents of the City of San Rafael, and therefore, ineligible to apply. Due to the high volume of applications received, a subcommittee of the City Council carried out an initial review of the fifteen eligible applicants and selected eight to be interviewed by the full City Council; however, one candidate is unable to attend. Initial Terms: • Three Five -Year Terms and Two Four -Year Terms — to be decided at the first committee meeting • Mayor to appoint the initial Chair. • Four -Year Terms for all members thereafter.
