A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL APPROVING THE 1983/84 FIVE-YEAR
FEDERAL-AID URBAN PROGRAM AS RECO~~NDED BY
THE MARIN COUNTY URBAN SYSTEM Cm-1MITTEE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael desires to continue to
participate in the Federal-Aid Urban Program for funding approved
transportation projects as authorized by the Federal Highway Act of
1973 and succeeding amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act, the State Transportation
Board and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission require that a
program of projects approved for Federal-Aid Urban funding, be
established by a County-wide Committee consisting of representatives
from each City, the County, Transit District, California Department
of Transportation, Golden Gate Bridge District, and the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission; and
WHEREAS, this Committee has been formed and approved by the
Marin County Board of Supervisors and 'is named the Marin County Urban
System Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban System Committee did meet
to review the program and new projects which has been submitted for
consideration as part of a five-year program; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban System Committee did adopt
the 1983/84 five-year Federal-Aid Urban Program on January 12, 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael does hereby approve the attached list of 1983/84
five-year Federal-Aid Urban Program projects as recommended by the
Marin County Urban System Committee;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Marin, the California Department of Transportation, the
Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District, the Marin
County Transit District, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commis-
sion are hereby requested to approve this program as the official
1983/84 five-year Federal Aid Urban System Program for Marin County.
If JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly .
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on the 7th day of February, 1983, by the following vote, to
wit:
